About the role
SGS is seeking a Civil Structural Inspector to support oil and gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves daily on‑site inspections of structural steel fabrication and erection to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and project standards.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct daily inspections of structural steel fabrication and erection activities.
- Inspect welding, bolting, alignment, fit‑up and coating works for quality and conformity.
- Identify non‑conformities, report them and follow up on corrective actions.
- Ensure all activities comply with approved procedures, project requirements and applicable standards.
Required profile
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of oil & gas construction inspection experience.
- Proven experience with rebar, bolting, welding and coating verification.
- Strong English communication skills.
