Class Teacher – KG & Cycle 1 (Early Years & Key Stage 1)

About the role

International Community Schools (ICS) Al Danah branch is seeking a motivated Class Teacher to join its Early Years and Cycle 1 team, delivering the British curriculum in a nurturing international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality, engaging lessons for KG/Cycle 1 in line with the British curriculum.
• Assess, monitor, record and report on student learning and progress.
• Create a positive, safe and stimulating learning environment that supports well‑being and academic growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and the wider school community.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education or a related field.
• PGCE or equivalent leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from the UK.
• Valid teaching licence from your country and at least 2‑3 years of full‑time post‑qualification experience teaching KG or Cycle 1 in a British curriculum school.
• Experience teaching children aged 3‑7 years; international school experience is an advantage.

• Proficiency in integrating educational technology into classroom practice.
• Strong organisational and classroom‑management abilities.
• Ability to use assessment data to inform teaching and track progress.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
