Clinical Psychologist – Hospital

About the role

To provide clinical psychology services in line with professional standards and regulatory requirements at Mediclinic City Hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed psychological assessments using standardized tools and clinical interviews.
• Formulate referral questions, select appropriate psychometric measures, and analyse data to make clinical impressions and diagnoses.
• Prepare structured psychological reports for clinical teams and stakeholders.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence‑based treatment plans and deliver psychotherapy (e.g., CBT, ACT, DBT, brief therapy).
• Facilitate group therapy, family sessions and psycho‑education, and collaborate with fertility specialists for IVF patients.
• Participate in MDT meetings, provide consultative input to healthcare professionals, and refer patients when indicated.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, ensure confidentiality, and support quality‑assurance activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a postgraduate degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university.
• Certification in CBT, psychometrics or similar therapeutic approaches.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in assessment and psychotherapy, preferably in a hospital or multidisciplinary setting.
• Experience working in multicultural or UAE healthcare environments is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with personality, interest and other psychological testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of UAE healthcare regulatory framework and related requirements.
