Clinical Psychologist (Master's required)

About the role

The hospital is seeking a qualified Clinical Psychologist to join its multidisciplinary team. The role involves diagnosing and treating psychiatric illnesses, supporting psychiatrists, and contributing to preventive mental health programs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric interviews and collect diagnostic data.
• Provide individual, group, family, and couples psychotherapy.
• Apply behavioral methods for children and adults, planning therapy frequency and intensity.
• Perform psychometric testing for diagnosis and therapy evaluation.
• Assist psychiatrists in the care of in‑patients and out‑patients.
• Engage in research and educational activities to improve treatment methods.
• Offer counseling to community organizations and participate in welfare activities.
• Respond to after‑hours or emergency calls as required.

Required profile

• Valid DOH license as Clinical Psychologist in the UAE.
• Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical psychology experience.
• Current licensure in country of origin and HAAD license to practice in Abu Dhabi.
• Excellent oral and written English; Arabic knowledge is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of medical ethics and confidentiality obligations.
