Commercial Steering Officer

About the role

The Commercial Steering Officer bridges Sales, E‑Commerce, Digital, Marketing, Loyalty and Revenue Management to drive commercial performance for Etihad Bank in Abu Dhabi. You will own the development and execution of country commercial plans, ensuring that revenue‑maximising strategies are implemented across new route launches and ongoing sales activities.

Key responsibilities

• Build and own Country Commercial Plans (CCPs) and set annual commercial objectives.
• Review performance with Revenue Management, Sales and EDML, providing recommendations to keep stakeholders on track.
• Act as the focal point for all Open‑for‑Sale (OFS) activities related to new routes and frequencies.
• Collaborate with Network Revenue Optimisation to implement and measure optimisation strategies.
• Track commercial performance of implemented strategies and conduct analysis on travel programmes.
• Identify leakage in programmes and recommend process improvements.
• Coordinate revenue recovery initiatives with Sales and EDML.
• Communicate publication plans across the division and ensure readiness for ad‑hoc and planned publications.
• Support the creation of the division’s executive scorecard and lead weekly executive meetings.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in aviation or a related commercial environment.
• Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Proven stakeholder management and project coordination abilities.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, prioritisation and time‑management skills.
• Experience with airline commercial processes is a plus.
