Commissioning Electrical Supervisor

About the role

The Commissioning Electrical Supervisor will lead the electrical commissioning activities for the Hail & Ghasha project in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the Commissioning Electrical Superintendent, the role ensures all electrical systems are commissioned safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed pre‑commissioning procedures and functional test plans for electrical packages.
• Perform field checks, prepare punch lists, and verify compliance with design and safety standards.
• Manage and coordinate the subcontractor team, enforcing plant safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
• Maintain accurate logbooks and progress records, initiating corrective actions when needed.
• Supervise electrical substation power‑on, motor run‑in, and ensure proper lockout/tagout practices.
• Support vendor specialists, coordinate their activities, and oversee their performance.
• Conduct interlock, logic, and sequence testing on MCC panels and verify starter operations.
• Prepare and sign off certification documents, ensuring client witnessing and hand‑over.

Required profile

• University degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10‑12 years of experience in EPC oil & gas or refinery projects, preferably in a supervisory commissioning role.
• Strong leadership, decision‑making under pressure, and effective communication skills.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
