Consultant – 7‑Month FinTech Contract

About the role

Our client, a leading payments and financial technology provider, is seeking a Consultant for a 7‑month contract starting in October. The role will support business growth, product development initiatives and client engagement across both SME (approximately 65% of activity) and large corporate markets (35%). You will work closely with senior leadership, product teams and external clients to identify opportunities, design tailored solutions and drive strategic projects.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business development and product teams to identify client needs and contribute to the design and enhancement of payment solutions.
• Support the delivery and implementation of strategic projects for SME and corporate clients, ensuring timelines, quality and successful outcomes.
• Develop business development materials, proposals, presentations and other client‑facing tools to support commercial growth.
• Lead stakeholder engagement with Director‑level and senior management, both internal and external, to align expectations and secure buy‑in.
• Provide consulting expertise on emerging technologies, including AI agent projects, by analysing business requirements and recommending practical solutions.
• Monitor project progress, report status to senior leadership and proactively address risks or issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in payments, FinTech, banking, consulting or related financial services, with exposure to product development and client‑facing initiatives.
• Strong understanding of project delivery, business development, stakeholder management and solution implementation.
• Ability to work independently, influence senior stakeholders, analyse complex business challenges and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
