About the role

American Hospital Dubai is seeking a highly experienced Consultant – Cardiac ICU to join its multidisciplinary critical care team. The role involves providing advanced care for critically ill cardiac and post‑operative cardiothoracic patients in a leading private healthcare institution in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consultant‑level care for patients in the Cardiac Critical Care and Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit.
• Manage complex cardiac, post‑operative, and critically ill patients using evidence‑based clinical practices.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Participate in treatment planning, patient monitoring, and critical care decision‑making.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, clinical governance, and quality of care.
• Support medical education, professional development, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• American Board, UK CCT, or equivalent Tier 1 qualification with DHA eligibility.
• Strong experience in Cardiac Critical Care or Cardiothoracic Intensive Care.
• Proven expertise in managing complex cardiac and post‑operative critical care patients.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac critical care management and cardiothoracic intensive care protocols.
