Consultant Geriatric Medicine Physician – Dubai (Tax-Free)

About the role

The hospital group is seeking an experienced Consultant/ Specialist in Geriatric Medicine to join its multidisciplinary team in Dubai. This JCI‑accredited, tertiary‑care facility offers a tax‑free environment and advanced infrastructure for delivering patient‑centred care to an aging population.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive geriatric assessments covering functional, cognitive, psychological and social domains.
• Diagnose and manage complex, multimorbid conditions such as dementia, osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and neuro‑degenerative disorders.
• Develop individualized care plans focusing on rehabilitation, long‑term health and quality of life.
• Coordinate with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, social workers and other specialists.
• Conduct falls risk assessments, mobility management and medication optimisation, addressing polypharmacy.
• Participate in end‑of‑life, palliative and advanced care planning discussions.
• Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or equivalent specialist qualification in Geriatric Medicine (or Internal Medicine with Geriatric focus).
• Minimum 3 years of post‑certification clinical experience.
• Eligibility for DHA/DOH/MOH licensing in the UAE (full support provided).
• Ability to work in a multicultural, multidisciplinary environment.
