Consultant Internal Medicine – Obstetric Medicine

About the role

Al Rahba Hospital is seeking a compassionate Consultant in Internal Medicine with a focus on Obstetric Medicine to join our multidisciplinary team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality primary and specialist care to patients with injuries, acute illnesses, and obstetric‑related conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Examine patients, take comprehensive medical histories, and address concerns.
• Diagnose and treat injuries, illnesses, and obstetric disorders.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, communicating results clearly.
• Counsel patients on diet, hygiene, preventive health, and lifestyle modifications.
• Develop and prescribe individualized treatment plans and medication regimens.
• Explain medical procedures and ensure informed consent.
• Collaborate with specialists, refer when necessary, and work closely with nursing and allied health staff.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date patient records and comply with medical privacy laws such as HIPAA.

Required profile

• Medical degree with completed residency and internship in internal medicine.
• Current state license and certification to practice medicine.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in diagnosing and treating a broad range of conditions, including obstetric medicine.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with medical advancements.
