Consultant – Maternal & Fetal Medicine

About the role

Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women & Children in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Consultant in Maternal & Fetal Medicine to join its Women’s Health division. The role focuses on delivering expert care for high‑risk pregnancies, comprehensive fetal assessment, and management of complex maternal‑fetal conditions within a multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist consultation and management for high‑risk pregnancies and complex maternal‑fetal disorders.
• Perform detailed fetal ultrasound examinations, including anatomy scans, growth assessments, and Doppler studies.
• Diagnose, counsel, and manage fetal abnormalities and congenital conditions.
• Conduct prenatal screening, counseling, and diagnostic procedures as indicated.
• Develop individualized care plans for patients with complex obstetric, medical, and fetal issues.
• Collaborate closely with Obstetrics & Gynecology, Neonatology, Genetics, Pediatric Surgery, and other multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or equivalent qualification in Obstetrics & Gynecology with a subspecialty focus on Maternal‑Fetal Medicine.
• Minimum of 3 years (36 months) experience managing high‑risk pregnancies and fetal medicine cases.
• Strong clinical expertise in prenatal diagnosis, fetal surveillance, and advanced imaging techniques.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and provide patient‑centered care.
