Consultant Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) – Dubai

About the role

A leading hospital in Dubai is seeking a Consultant in Pediatric Intensive Care to lead its state‑of‑the‑art PICU. You will provide expert care to critically ill children, oversee complex medical and surgical cases, and drive clinical excellence within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑acuity care to pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Perform advanced procedures such as mechanical ventilation, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and invasive monitoring.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, surgeons, nurses and allied health professionals to design individualized treatment plans.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to clinical education programs.
• Lead quality‑improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with international care standards.
• Participate in clinical research and stay current with PICU advancements.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Board certification in Pediatric Intensive Care or Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
• Western training (USA, UK, Canada or equivalent) – mandatory.
• Minimum 3–5 years post‑board experience in a consultant PICU role.
• Strong leadership, communication and family‑centered care philosophy.
• Eligibility for DHA Consultant licensure.
