Consultant Pediatric Otolaryngology – Abu Dhabi

About the role

The position is for a Consultant Pediatric Otolaryngology at a leading Abu Dhabi hospital. The role involves delivering high‑quality ENT care to children, supervising junior staff, and contributing to multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise evidence‑based clinical care for pediatric ENT patients.
• Conduct examinations, order and interpret diagnostics, prescribe treatments, and develop comprehensive care plans.
• Oversee junior medical staff, providing instruction, guidance and performance feedback.
• Collaborate with other specialties and attend multidisciplinary meetings.
• Participate in rotational on‑call coverage, including evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Document clinical information accurately and comply with hospital, departmental and DOH policies.
• Engage in quality improvement activities such as audits, peer review and risk management.
• Communicate clearly with patients and families, ensuring informed consent for procedures.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent with a recognized specialty training (Board Certification, Royal College Fellowship or equivalent).
• Postgraduate qualification (MD, MS or DNB) is generally required.
• 3–7 years of post‑specialty clinical experience in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Eligibility for a valid Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DOH) licence, including primary source verification and DOH exam where applicable.
• Good standing certificate from current or previous licensing authority.
