Consultant Pediatric Plastic Surgeon Abu Dhabi

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified Consultant Pediatric Plastic Surgeon to join a leading children’s hospital in Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering specialised surgical care for infants, children and adolescents with congenital, traumatic and acquired deformities within a multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage congenital and acquired paediatric plastic and reconstructive conditions.
• Perform paediatric plastic surgery procedures including cleft lip and palate repair, cranio‑facial reconstruction, hand surgery, burn reconstruction, scar revision and soft‑tissue reconstruction.
• Evaluate and treat paediatric trauma and complex reconstructive cases.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations and develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans.
• Collaborate with cranio‑facial surgeons, neurosurgeons, ENT, orthopaedic, dermatology and other multidisciplinary teams.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, surgical risks and postoperative care.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in line with DOH Abu Dhabi regulations.
• Participate in clinical audits, research, teaching and continuing medical education.
• Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection control and quality‑improvement standards.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognised by DOH Abu Dhabi.
• Board certification/fellowship in Plastic Surgery with subspecialty experience in Paediatric Plastic Surgery.
• Valid DOH Consultant licence or eligibility letter in Plastic Surgery.
• Minimum 5–7 years post‑board consultant experience in paediatric plastic and reconstructive surgery within a tertiary‑care or academic setting.
