Consultant Pediatric Plastic Surgeon

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified Consultant Pediatric Plastic Surgeon to join a leading children’s hospital in Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering specialised surgical care for infants, children and adolescents with congenital, traumatic or acquired deformities, within a multidisciplinary, patient‑centred environment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage congenital and acquired paediatric plastic and reconstructive conditions.
• Perform surgeries such as cleft lip and palate repair, craniofacial reconstruction, hand surgery, burn reconstruction, scar revision and soft‑tissue reconstruction.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations and develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans.
• Collaborate with craniofacial surgeons, neurosurgeons, ENT, orthopaedic, dermatology and other specialists.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, surgical risks and postoperative care.
• Maintain accurate medical records in line with DOH Abu Dhabi regulations and hospital policies.
• Participate in clinical audits, research, teaching and continuing medical education programmes.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent degree recognised by DOH Abu Dhabi.
• Board certification or fellowship in Plastic Surgery with subspecialty experience in paediatric plastic surgery.
• Valid DOH Consultant licence or eligibility letter in Plastic Surgery.
• Minimum 5–7 years post‑board consultant experience in paediatric plastic and reconstructive surgery within a tertiary or academic hospital.
