About the role

The Consultant Physician in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry leads the delivery of high‑quality, evidence‑based mental health care for young patients. You will supervise clinical teams, ensure best‑practice diagnosis and treatment, and serve as a role model of clinical excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise junior medical staff, overseeing their clinical activities and ensuring safe patient care.
• Diagnose, manage and treat children and adolescents according to established best‑practice standards.
• Participate in performance management, peer review, productivity and utilization reviews.
• Assist the Division Chief with scheduling, recruitment and ensuring adequate medical coverage.
• Conduct ward rounds, reassess in‑patients and out‑patients, and document clinical information promptly.
• Review investigation results, modify treatment plans, and obtain informed consent for procedures.
• Collaborate with other specialties and support services, and actively engage in multidisciplinary meetings.

Required profile

• Qualified physician with specialist accreditation in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Demonstrated clinical excellence and leadership experience.
• Ability to train and mentor junior staff.
• Strong commitment to evidence‑based practice and patient safety.
