Consultant Pulmonologist – Respiratory & Lung Medicine

About the role

We are expanding our Respiratory Medicine and Pulmonary Care services in a leading multispecialty hospital in Dubai. The Consultant / Specialist Pulmonologist will provide comprehensive care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory diseases, working within a modern facility equipped with advanced diagnostics and critical care units.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage asthma, COPD, pneumonia, bronchitis and other common respiratory conditions.
• Evaluate and treat complex diseases such as interstitial lung disease, pulmonary fibrosis and pulmonary hypertension.
• Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests, spirometry and related investigations.
• Conduct bronchoscopy and other pulmonary procedures when clinically indicated.
• Manage sleep‑related breathing disorders, coordinate sleep study evaluations and treat obstructive sleep apnea.
• Provide inpatient consultations for acute respiratory failure and severe pulmonary infections.
• Collaborate with critical‑care teams in the management of ventilated or critically ill patients.
• Develop personalised treatment plans and long‑term disease‑management strategies for chronic lung conditions.
• Educate patients on smoking cessation, pulmonary rehabilitation and preventive care.
• Coordinate care with thoracic surgeons, infectious‑disease and internal‑medicine specialists.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records in line with regulatory standards.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality‑improvement initiatives and adhere to international respiratory guidelines.

Required profile

• Board‑certified pulmonologist or respiratory specialist.
• Minimum of 3 years post‑specialist or board‑certification experience.
• Experience in both outpatient respiratory clinics and inpatient consultations.
• Familiarity with UAE healthcare regulations and international respiratory medicine guidelines.
