Consultant Urologist – Abu Dhabi

About the role

Astra ProMed is seeking an experienced Consultant Urologist to join its multidisciplinary team in Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering expert diagnosis, treatment, and surgical care for adult urological conditions while collaborating with other specialties.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of adult urological disorders.
• Perform urological surgeries, endoscopic and minimally invasive procedures within clinical privileges.
• Manage urinary tract disorders, kidney stones, prostate conditions, and urological cancers.
• Evaluate and treat male reproductive and sexual health issues.
• Interpret laboratory results, imaging, and other diagnostic investigations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and ensure comprehensive follow‑up care.
• Provide specialist consultation and clinical leadership to the medical team.
• Collaborate with oncology, nephrology, radiology, emergency medicine and other departments.
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and participate in audits, quality improvement and teaching initiatives.

Required profile

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Urology.
• Consultant‑level experience in urology.
• DOH Abu Dhabi medical license or eligibility and a valid professional registration with a Good Standing Certificate.
• Strong surgical, clinical decision‑making, communication and leadership abilities.
