Costing Clerk – Retail & Warranty Operations

About the role

The Costing Clerk will prepare accurate costing for retail, warranty and internal job cards, ensuring timely and correct invoicing for customers at Al Tayer Motors in Dubai. The role involves segregation of job types, applying standard labour codes and supporting MIS reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate costing for all retail, warranty and internal job cards.
• Segregate job cards between Retail/Internal and Warranty.
• Apply standard labour operation codes (RTS/SLTS) and appropriate charge types.
• Ensure correct time allocation and full charging to maximize profitability.
• Escalate cases of excessive non‑chargeable time to the location manager.
• Verify use of appropriate labour rates and record all labour, parts and sublet costs.
• Invoice all charge lines for internal/service contract job cards.
• Assist with warranty costing and ensure proper authorization for internal job cards.
• Prepare MIS reports and report customer dissatisfaction cases.
• Reconcile incentive payments for Service Advisors and Team Leaders.
• Prepare IPO & LPO documents for sublet jobs and allocate charges correctly.
• Support service contracts and menu price list coordination with workshop and technical managers.
• Follow up with warranty department and service advisors on pending repair orders over 30 days.

Required profile

• Graduate in Commerce.
• 3–5 years of costing experience in an automotive dealership.
