About the role

Our client, a government organization in Abu Dhabi, is seeking a skilled Data Scientist to design and implement advanced analytics and AI solutions that drive operational efficiency and strategic decision‑making. The role involves building predictive models, optimizing processes, and delivering data‑driven insights across multiple departments.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, generate actionable insights, and support decision‑making.
• Develop, train, and deploy machine‑learning models for forecasting, optimization, risk analysis, and other business use cases.
• Perform data extraction, cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering to ensure high‑quality inputs for models.
• Implement MLOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, model monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineering, and data governance teams to translate requirements into analytical solutions.
• Ensure AI/ML activities comply with governance, privacy, and regulatory standards, including bias checks and model documentation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, AI, Statistics, or a comparable discipline.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.

Required skills

• Python (preferred) or R programming.
• SQL and Spark for large‑scale data processing.
• Machine‑learning frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit‑learn.
• Experience with Azure and Databricks cloud platforms.
• Data‑visualisation tools: Power BI, Tableau.
• MLOps practices: CI/CD, model monitoring, retraining.
• Statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and data preprocessing techniques.
• Understanding of data governance and AI governance principles.
