Demand Planning Executive – Food Distribution

About the role

The Demand Planning Executive will support supply chain and forecasting operations for a food distribution business operating across the GCC. You will ensure accurate demand forecasts, optimal inventory levels, and timely purchase order execution.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse sales data, market trends and historical performance to produce demand forecasts.
• Coordinate with Sales, Brand Managers and Supply Chain teams to align forecasts with business objectives.
• Monitor stock levels across UAE, Qatar, Oman and KSA, managing fast‑moving, slow‑moving and near‑expiry inventory.
• Prepare and validate Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders based on forecasted demand.
• Liaise with suppliers to confirm specifications, quantities, delivery schedules and resolve shipment delays.
• Implement inventory control measures to reduce product wastage and report expiry or damage discrepancies.
• Prepare periodic reports on stock status, inventory turnover, overstock situations and wastage trends.
• Ensure compliance with import checklists, correct unit of measurement usage and internal email coding standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years experience in demand planning, preferably in food distribution or FMCG.
• Strong analytical capabilities to assess and optimise supply‑chain processes.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as Oracle or comparable supply‑chain platforms.
• Knowledge of import/export regulations and HACCP standards.
• Excellent coordination, communication and problem‑solving skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
