Director of Digital Business Systems – Government (UAE)

About the role

We are seeking a senior leader to drive the digital transformation of a federal government entity in Dubai. The Director of Digital Business Systems will oversee the strategy, design and operation of digital platforms, ensuring they support efficiency, security and data‑driven decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development, enhancement and continuous improvement of digital systems and technology solutions across the organization.
• Manage system upgrades, technical implementations and the integration of disparate platforms to ensure seamless connectivity.
• Monitor and optimise technical operations, system performance and service delivery, applying best‑practice IT operations and infrastructure management.
• Implement and enforce cybersecurity controls, compliance standards and business‑continuity plans to protect critical assets.
• Support data‑analytics and business‑intelligence initiatives, delivering reporting insights and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align technology initiatives with strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in digital systems, technology operations or IT management.
• Proven leadership and analytical thinking abilities.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and operational best practices.
• Experience managing systems integration, digital platforms and data‑driven initiatives.
• Deep understanding of digital systems management and performance improvement.
