Director of Finance

About the role

Functions as the property’s strategic financial business leader. The position champions, develops and implements property‑wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs of the brand’s target customers and employees.

Key responsibilities

• Develops and executes the annual operating budget, provides analytical support during budget reviews and identifies cost‑saving opportunities.
• Leads financial analysis, forecasts sales versus expenses, monitors actual performance against projections and produces accurate forecasts for operations.
• Implements appropriate controls to manage business risks, ensures strong accounting and operational control environment and oversees internal, external and regulatory audit processes.
• Communicates financial concepts to owners and executive team, advises the General Manager on operating and financial issues and manages cash flow and working capital.
• Leads and develops the finance team, conducts performance appraisals and ensures cross‑training to support daily operations.
• Ensures accurate profit and loss reporting, monitors taxes, prepares timely reports and supports achievement of performance and budget goals.

Required profile

• 4‑year bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field with at least 3 years relevant experience (or master’s degree with 1 year experience).
• Proven ability to lead finance functions, develop budgets, conduct financial analysis and support strategic decision‑making in a hospitality environment.
