Director of Sales – Leisure

About the role

Mandarin Oriental’s Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Director of Sales – Leisure to lead its leisure sales function. You will shape the strategy for key source markets, particularly the UK and Germany, and drive revenue growth for this iconic luxury property.

Key responsibilities

• Create and execute the annual leisure sales strategy, aligning tactics with the hotel’s financial and brand objectives.
• Own leisure segment revenue targets, room‑night production, and ADR goals, delivering accurate monthly and quarterly forecasts.
• Lead, coach, and develop the leisure sales team, establishing clear KPIs, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a culture of accountability.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
• Monitor luxury market trends and adjust tactics to stay competitive.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the UK and German markets, ensuring targets for rooms FIT are met and brand standards upheld.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in luxury hospitality sales.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve revenue and ADR targets.
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
