About the role

GEMS FirstPoint School is seeking an enthusiastic Economics Teacher to join its vibrant community from August 2027. The role offers the chance to teach across the British curriculum and, for qualified candidates, to step into middle‑leadership responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Economics lessons for GCSE and A‑Level students.
• Prepare and mark assessments, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards.
• Contribute to the development and review of the Economics curriculum.
• Participate in extracurricular activities, such as career guidance or enrichment programmes.
• Collaborate with colleagues to promote inclusive, high‑quality learning environments.

Required profile

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics or a related discipline.
• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or equivalent).
• Experience teaching Economics within the British curriculum, preferably at GCSE level.
• Strong commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Deep subject knowledge of Economics.
• Ability to design and deliver curriculum‑aligned lessons.
• Proficiency in assessment design and feedback.
