E&I Quality Control Inspector – Onshore Oil & Gas

About the role

SGS is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Quality Control Inspector to lead on‑site inspections for onshore oil & gas projects. You will ensure that materials, equipment and construction activities meet the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and execute inspection jobs with professionalism.
• Carry out inspections on materials, equipment and construction/installation activities on site.
• Issue quality records and, when required, prepare non‑conformance reports for the QC Supervisor.
• Verify conformity with the Quality Control Plan, manage test documentation and ensure correct implementation of the Inspection Test Plan.
• Check special processes, workers’ qualifications and verify equipment such as power transformers, switchboards, batteries, lighting systems and remote terminal units.
• Perform visual inspections, dimensional tests and verify rating and material for connections.

Required profile

• Diploma/Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in the oil and gas construction sector.
• Familiarity with engineering standards and codes used in QC surveillance for onshore fabrication, construction and EPC projects.
