Emergency Specialist Registrar

About the role

The Emergency Specialist Registrar provides expert clinical care in the emergency department while guiding patients and families through complex treatment decisions. This role also involves teaching, research, and community outreach to improve emergency services across Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Guide patients and families through complex treatment decisions.
• Conduct follow‑up to assess and adjust treatment plans.
• Participate in outpatient clinics and daycare clinical duties.
• Counsel couples after premarital screening, pre‑prenatal diagnosis, and pre‑bone marrow transplantation.
• Train residents and interns.
• Engage in community awareness activities.
• Contribute to quality‑improvement and accreditation programs.
• Attend scientific meetings and conferences as required.
• Participate in committees, forums, research initiatives and publications.
• Serve as a role model and project a positive image to patients, visitors and staff.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the line manager.

Required profile

• Graduation from an accredited school of medicine with recognized Membership/Fellowship/Board or equivalent in Emergency Medicine.
• At least three years of experience working in an emergency department.
