About the role

The Royal Medical Centre Shahama is seeking a qualified Endocrinology Specialist to deliver high‑quality clinical care to patients with hormonal disorders. The role involves comprehensive patient management from consultation through treatment planning, while upholding ethical standards and clinical governance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional, ethical, and high‑quality clinical care to patients with endocrine diseases.
• Monitor and manage clinical risks associated with direct patient care.
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance, quality management standards, and accurate medical record keeping.
• Perform endocrine procedures, including dynamic hormonal tests, and order appropriate laboratory and imaging studies.
• Offer on‑call emergency coverage for endocrinology‑related emergencies.
• Supervise and educate nursing staff, technicians, and patients.
• Participate in quality‑assurance activities such as morbidity‑mortality conferences, audits, and peer reviews.
• Contribute to in‑service activities, lectures, conferences, and staff meetings.

Required profile

• Medical degree with board certification or equivalent qualification in Endocrinology.
• Current registration with the relevant medical authority.
• Commitment to continuous professional development for self and colleagues.
• Adherence to infection control, patient safety, and occupational health policies.
