English Teacher at Bateen World Academy

About the role

Bateen World Academy, part of Aldar Education, is seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher for the 2026‑2027 academic year. You will join a high‑achieving British and IB school community in the heart of Abu Dhabi, delivering the British curriculum and supporting the IB programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons for a wide ability range, from FS1 to Year 13.
• Assess and record student progress in line with the school’s assessment policy.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design curriculum‑aligned units and share best practices.
• Communicate regularly with parents to support student wellbeing and academic outcomes.
• Act as a form tutor, providing pastoral care and fostering a positive learning environment.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months of teaching experience, preferably in British or IB settings.
• PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum and British curriculum frameworks.
• Commitment to the school’s core values and appreciation of regional cultural context.
