About the role

GEMS Education is seeking an outstanding English Teacher to join the highly regarded department at Jumeirah College starting January 2027. The role focuses on delivering the National Curriculum for England across GCSE and A‑Level programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for English Language and Literature at GCSE and A‑Level.
• Monitor and assess student progress, aiming to sustain high attainment rates.
• Contribute to the school’s enriched curriculum programme and extracurricular activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain the department’s reputation for excellence.

Required profile

• Relevant degree (e.g., B.Ed.) with PGCE/PGDE or equivalent.
• Minimum two years’ experience teaching the National Curriculum for England.
• Proven track record of outstanding teaching and learning outcomes.
• Commitment to high expectations for all students.

Required skills

• Exceptional subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
