About the role

The Expeditor supports project delivery by ensuring timely procurement and delivery of materials and equipment. Working under moderate guidance, the role focuses on straightforward expediting challenges, using standard procedures and company knowledge to keep projects on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Understand and execute the expediting strategy for assigned projects.
• Perform expediting actions based on the level assigned to each purchase order.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal functions to track the status of goods and materials.
• Generate accurate weekly expediting reports and update the company system.
• Resolve issues with suppliers, engineering drawings, fabrication, and delivery delays.
• Review purchase order delivery requirements to ensure project needs are met.
• Coordinate expediting activities across procurement, logistics, fabrication, and construction teams.
• Collaborate with logistics on material movements within McDermott’s responsibility.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related discipline, or equivalent high‑school qualification with relevant experience.
• 3‑6 years of experience in expediting, procurement, or supply chain functions.
• Demonstrated knowledge of expediting processes related to procurement.
• Experience expediting supplier documentation, piping, electrical, and instrumentation bulks, including regulators, gauges, PSVs, and mechanical equipment.
