Fitness & Wellness Manager

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Jumeira in Dubai is seeking a Fitness & Wellness Manager to lead its Spa & Wellness operations. The role involves overseeing fitness facilities, delivering programs for guests and corporate groups, and ensuring high standards of service and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the spa, fitness centre, swimming pools, whirlpools, beach and kids club areas.
• Develop, deliver and promote fitness and wellness programs for hotel guests, members and corporate groups.
• Oversee membership programmes, maintain accurate documentation and handle bookings, scheduling and itineraries.
• Recruit, train and schedule fitness instructors, lifeguards and pool attendants, and maintain training matrices.
• Handle guest complaints in the fitness areas and coordinate lifestyle consultations for guests with special medical considerations.
• Prepare and analyse monthly financial reports, inventory and budget data to identify business opportunities.
• Maintain and update standard operating procedures, SOPs and filing systems for the department.
• Represent the spa at industry events, networking functions and trade shows.

Required profile

• Graduated with tertiary education, preferably in sport or fitness management.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within a 5‑star hotel environment.
• Previous experience working in the Middle East or on hotel pre‑opening projects is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage budgets and deliver high‑quality guest experiences.
