Footwear Designer

About the role

The client, a Dubai‑based enterprise active in luxury fashion, couture accessories and lifestyle brands, is seeking a Footwear Designer to lead the creation of technically detailed footwear collections. You will translate design concepts into production‑ready specifications while ensuring alignment with brand aesthetics and market trends.

Key responsibilities

• Create comprehensive footwear tech packs that include design sketches, material selections, construction methods, components, colourways, sizing, measurements and production specifications.
• Collaborate closely with manufacturers, suppliers and internal product development teams to guarantee accurate execution of designs.
• Review samples and prototypes, provide technical feedback and implement necessary design adjustments.
• Research current footwear trends, materials, silhouettes and construction techniques to inform design decisions.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical documentation throughout the product development cycle.
• Ensure final products meet approved design, quality, fit, construction and material standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Footwear Design, Fashion Design, Product Design or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Footwear Designer within fashion, retail or lifestyle brands.
• Strong knowledge of footwear construction, materials, components and manufacturing processes.
• Hands‑on experience creating detailed footwear tech packs.
• Solid understanding of footwear sizing, measurements, grading and specifications.
