French Teacher

About the role

GEMS United Indian School is seeking an outstanding French Teacher to join its academic team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will bring strong subject knowledge, a creative approach to learning, and the ability to engage students both inside and outside the classroom.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality French language instruction to students across relevant grade levels.
• Design and implement engaging lesson plans that incorporate modern teaching methods and technology.
• Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and oral evaluations, providing constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and department heads to align curriculum with school standards.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance and classroom activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in French and a Bachelor of Education; distance or open‑university degrees are not accepted.
• Experience with the CBSE curriculum is preferred but not mandatory.
• Creative, enthusiastic, and able to foster a dynamic learning environment.
• Strong team player who works well within the department and across school phases.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a good command of English.

• IT proficiency for classroom integration and communication.
