Gas Turbine Commissioning and Fact-Finding Engineer

About the role

As a Gas Turbine Commissioning and Fact-Finding Engineer you will lead advanced commissioning, troubleshooting and fact‑finding activities on gas turbines and auxiliary systems worldwide. You will work independently to resolve complex technical issues that go beyond standard procedures, applying strong critical‑thinking skills.

Key responsibilities

• Perform advanced commissioning and fact‑finding on gas turbine systems in line with Siemens Energy standards.
• Coordinate with project leaders, design teams and customer representatives to ensure seamless execution.
• Maintain compliance with QA, project documentation and health & safety requirements.
• Deliver projects on time and within budget through effective planning and resource management.
• Provide technical input for sales, planning and customer support, focusing on risk mitigation and project coordination.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of field service experience on gas turbines or similar equipment.
• Proven ability to lead small technical teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English and experience working in multicultural environments.
• Willingness to travel extensively (70‑80%) and work shift patterns.
• Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering from a vocational school, technical college or university.
