About the role

PowerTech, a division of EDGE Group PJSC, is seeking a Gas Turbine Turbomachinery Aerodynamics Engineer to lead aerodynamic design and analysis for turbojet and turbofan development programs. The role blends advanced propulsion expertise with project planning and team development responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform aerodynamic design and off‑design analysis of gas‑turbine turbomachinery.
• Post‑process engine test data and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership for engine architectural studies.
• Develop and validate numerical and experimental methods.
• Define and monitor individual and team performance metrics, delivering constructive feedback.
• Review designs, simulations and generate testing guidelines.
• Identify project risks and devise mitigation plans.

Required profile

• Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or related degree.
• 5‑15 years of experience in gas‑turbine propulsion, turbomachinery design, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
• Hands‑on experience with axial and centrifugal compressors and turbines.
• Fluency in English.

Required skills

• Concepts NREC, AxStream or similar turbomachinery tools.
• CFD software such as ANSYS CFX, Numeca/Cadence, Fluent.
• Multi‑point and multi‑disciplinary optimization.
• Programming in C, Matlab/Simulink.
• Coatings and cooling technologies.
• Unsteady modelling, bleed‑flow analysis, compressor stability, casing treatment, sub‑idle modelling.
