General Insurance Manager – Dubai

About the role

We are looking for a General Insurance Manager to lead our underwriting and claims operations in Dubai. The role combines technical oversight of multiple insurance lines with team leadership and client relationship management.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate complex risks, approve quotations and ensure sound underwriting decisions across Property, Liability, Engineering, Marine, Motor Fleet and SME lines.
• Monitor portfolio performance, loss ratios and renewals to drive profitability.
• Lead, mentor and train underwriting teams, ensuring compliance with standards and timely delivery.
• Negotiate premiums, terms and conditions with insurers and support sales teams in client meetings and renewals.
• Oversee policy issuance, endorsements, cancellations and refunds while maintaining regulatory and KYC compliance.
• Collaborate with sales to win new business, track market trends and promote cross‑selling initiatives.

Required profile

• Results‑driven professional with strong expertise in underwriting, policy administration and claims management across multiple insurance lines.
• Proven ability to lead underwriting teams and manage insurer relationships.
• Solid understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the insurance sector.
