General Manager – Light Steel & Aluminium Fabrication

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead its Light Steel and Aluminium fabrication operations in Dubai. The role combines technical, commercial and strategic leadership to drive efficiency, quality and growth across multiple fabrication lines.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and calculate all cost components (direct, indirect, fixed, variable, capital) to establish accurate unit production costs.
• Design and implement an optimal organisational structure for the factories, defining clear roles and responsibilities.
• Oversee manufacturing processes to ensure production, performance and quality standards are consistently met.
• Review factory reports to verify compliance with safety, quality, financial and delivery targets.
• Maintain a safe working environment in collaboration with health, safety and environmental teams.
• Monitor man‑hours against budgets and report variances.
• Support the Operating Officer with expansion plans and the adoption of advanced technologies.
• Identify training needs and promote skill development across the workforce.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech) in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of proven experience in steel/aluminium fabrication or related manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication codes, standards and welding techniques (SMAW, GMAW, SAW, GAS cutting).
• Excellent project management, analytical and communication skills.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to solve problems and make decisions.
• Self‑motivated leader who works well in a team environment.
