Graduate Civil Engineer

About the role

Wood Group is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join its Dubai team. Reporting to the Lead Graduate Civil Engineer, the role offers hands‑on experience across structural, geotechnical and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the analysis and design of steel and concrete structures, including detailing.
• Perform wind and seismic load calculations.
• Use Staad Pro and other software for structural modelling.
• Prepare material requisitions and method statements.
• Design foundations (open and deep) and support road, drainage and culvert works.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent technology diploma.
• Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Highly motivated, self‑reliant problem solver.
• Commitment to safety and willingness to share knowledge.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.

Required skills

• Structural analysis theory and practice.
• Design and detailing of steel and concrete structures.
• Wind and seismic load analysis.
• Proficiency with Staad Pro (or similar).
• Knowledge of American steel and concrete codes.
• Soil mechanics and foundation design.
• Road, drainage and culvert design.
