Group Finance and Accounting Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Group Finance and Accounting Manager to lead the finance function of a diversified retail group in the UAE. This senior leadership position will oversee finance, accounting, budgeting, reporting, taxation, treasury and compliance across multiple entities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Group Finance department, ensuring high performance.
• Oversee financial operations of multiple legal entities and ensure accurate consolidation.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and UAE regulations.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning for all business units.
• Develop and enforce robust financial controls, policies and procedures.
• Monitor cash flow, treasury activities, working capital and banking relationships.
• Lead cost‑management initiatives and monitor group‑wide expenditures.
• Analyse profitability and key performance drivers, providing insights to senior management.
• Oversee inventory accounting, stock valuation and cost control in partnership with operations.
• Ensure compliance with UAE Corporate Tax, VAT and external audit requirements.
• Manage relationships with auditors, tax consultants, banks and regulators.
• Support strategic decisions through financial modelling and investment analysis.
• Optimize ERP systems and finance processes for accurate reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA) highly preferred; MBA in Finance is a plus.
• 10–15 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience managing finance for multiple legal entities in a retail or consumer‑focused organization.
• Strong background in cost management, budgeting, financial planning and business partnering.
