GSE Technician - Fabricator

About the role

The GSE Technician – Fabricator is responsible for welding, fabrication, and structural repair of ground support equipment to ensure safe and reliable aircraft handling. You will work in a workshop environment, delivering high‑quality metalwork for both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform Gas, Electric Arc, and MIG welding on GSE components.
• Interpret technical layouts, mark cutting and bending lines, and select appropriate fabrication methods.
• Operate workshop machinery such as shears, drill presses, and rollers.
• Assemble, align, and weld metal parts to meet specifications and quality standards.
• Inspect completed work for compliance with safety, technical, and manufacturer requirements.
• Support maintenance activities and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Required profile

• Secondary education (12 years) with a recognized technical certification in welding or fabrication.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on welding and metal‑fabrication experience, preferably in aviation, automotive, or heavy‑equipment settings.
• Proven ability to work with multiple welding methods (Gas, Arc, MIG).
