About the role
The Head of Chemistry will lead the Chemistry Department at North London Collegiate School Dubai, overseeing the delivery of chemistry education across the Senior School and the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme in the Sixth Form. The role is central to shaping the department’s vision, fostering a collaborative teaching environment, and ensuring high‑quality learning outcomes for students.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of specialist chemistry teachers.
- Plan, coordinate and deliver chemistry lessons for Senior School and IB Diploma students.
- Develop curriculum and assessment strategies aligned with school standards and IB requirements.
- Mentor and support teachers in pedagogical best practices.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to contribute to the school’s overall development.
Required profile
- Energetic, committed and forward‑looking professional.
- Proven experience in teaching chemistry at secondary and/or IB level.
- Demonstrated leadership or team‑management experience within an educational setting.
