Head of Complex Change

About the role

The Head of Complex Change will lead RAKBANK’s most strategic, cross‑functional transformation programmes. Reporting to senior executives, you will act as the delivery commander for multi‑year, multi‑vendor initiatives that are under board‑level and CBUAE scrutiny.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of complex programmes across core banking, digital, payments and infrastructure, ensuring scope, timeline and budget compliance.
• Lead proactive risk identification and mitigation using a live RAID framework reviewed by senior leadership.
• Enforce rigorous scope management and change control, escalating issues to the CTO, ExCo and CEO as needed.
• Serve as the primary delivery interface with Tier‑1 technology partners and offshore delivery teams, holding them to contractual milestones.
• Design and mobilise multi‑year programme structures, governance forums and inter‑workstream dependencies.
• Chair steering and governance forums, resolve blockers and coordinate regulatory, audit, compliance and risk engagements.
• Produce board‑quality, risk‑adjusted reporting and develop delivery leadership capability across programme managers.

Required profile

• 20+ years of progressive technology and transformation leadership, with at least 5 years in an EVP, MD, Programme Director or equivalent role within a bank or globally regulated financial institution.
• Proven track record of delivering multi‑year, cross‑platform banking transformation programmes (core banking migration, payments modernisation, digital platform transformation).
• Expertise in upfront risk management, scope control and delivery governance in complex, multi‑vendor environments.
• Demonstrated experience managing Tier‑1 vendor relationships and offshore delivery partnerships.
