Head of Enterprise IT - Airlines

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Head of Enterprise IT to lead our technology operations in Abu Dhabi. In this senior position you will be responsible for the overall IT strategy, infrastructure, and service delivery, ensuring they support the airline’s business objectives and digital transformation goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy and roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise‑level IT infrastructure, systems, and applications.
• Lead, mentor and manage a diverse IT team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Establish IT governance, security policies and compliance with regional and international regulations.
• Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships and procurement to optimise cost‑effectiveness.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions that improve operational efficiency.
• Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Drive change‑management initiatives and adoption of new technologies across the organisation.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of progressive IT leadership experience.
• At least 5 years managing enterprise‑level IT infrastructure and operations.
• Strong background in the airline industry, including revenue accounting and refunds processes.
• Proven record delivering both waterfall and agile IT projects.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
