Head of MOE – Arabic & Islamic Education

About the role

GEMS Founders School – Dubai South is seeking a Head of MOE to join the school for the academic year starting August 2026. This senior leadership position will oversee Arabic and Islamic education, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning aligned with British Schools Overseas standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Arabic and Islamic curriculum across primary years.
• Mentor and support teachers, sharing exemplary teaching practices.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to uphold the school’s vision of Grow, Flourish, Succeed.
• Engage with students, parents, and the wider community through extracurricular and cultural events.
• Monitor and report on student progress, ensuring outstanding learning outcomes.

Required profile

• Hold a BEd or Bachelor’s degree majoring in Arabic and Islamic Education.
• Proven experience teaching primary classes.
• Demonstrated track record of outstanding teaching and learning.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with colleagues, students, and parents.
• Commitment to contributing positively to school culture and community.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Arabic and Islamic education curricula.
