Head of Projects / Operations Director

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Operations Director to lead the delivery of our large‑scale projects across the UAE. The role oversees the full project lifecycle, from tender and pre‑construction through execution, handover and close‑out, ensuring safety, quality, schedule and budget targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in tender reviews, evaluate drawings, BOQs, specifications and identify risks and value‑engineering opportunities.
• Develop and monitor execution plans for multiple projects, controlling schedule, cost, cash flow and commercial performance.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams including Project Directors, Managers, Construction and MEP engineers, coordinating with Planning, Procurement, Finance and QHSE functions.
• Provide technical oversight on construction methods, temporary works, shop drawings and material submittals, resolving major technical challenges.
• Maintain strong client, consultant, subcontractor and stakeholder relationships, chair progress meetings and manage disputes.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, UAE regulatory requirements and promote a robust safety culture.
• Oversee project close‑out activities such as handover, snagging, final accounts, as‑built documentation and lessons‑learned capture.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing large construction projects in the UAE.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and ability to drive operational excellence.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in budgeting, cash‑flow management and contract administration.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of construction methodologies, MEP integration and temporary works.
• Familiarity with ISO QHSE standards and UAE authority regulations.
• Ability to review and approve technical documents such as shop drawings and material submittals.
