Head of Retail – Product, Technology & Transformation

About the role

Our client, a leading retail organisation in the UAE, is seeking a senior leader to own the product, technology and transformation agenda across its retail business. Reporting to the executive team, the Head of Retail will drive the integration of physical stores, digital commerce and data‑driven insights to deliver a seamless omnichannel experience.

Key responsibilities

• Define the vision, strategy and multi‑year roadmap for the retail product portfolio, aligning with business objectives.
• Lead a team of 50+ professionals in Dubai and Bangalore, covering Store Operations, Retail Technology, POS, Retail Intelligence, Clienteling and Brand Experience.
• Own the POS platform migration, stabilisation and continuous improvement, managing technology vendors and strategic partners.
• Drive omnichannel capabilities such as real‑time inventory visibility, ship‑from‑store, endless aisle and cross‑channel fulfilment.
• Prioritise and deliver AI, automation and predictive analytics solutions that enhance store performance and customer personalization.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years (180 months) of experience in retail, ecommerce or commerce technology.
• Proven track record of leading large product organisations and complex transformation programmes.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross‑functional teams across multiple locations.
