Health Insurance Manager – UAE & Gulf

About the role

Merck Healthcare is seeking a Health Insurance Manager for the UAE and Gulf region, based in Dubai. The role focuses on improving patient access to high‑value medicines by working closely with insurance providers, third‑party administrators and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support access to high‑value treatments by engaging insurance providers and TPAs.
• Identify and resolve insurance reimbursement barriers to minimise claim rejections and ensure timely approvals.
• Develop creative financing initiatives and reimbursement solutions for Merck products.
• Build and maintain relationships with insurers, TPAs and other stakeholders.
• Establish strategic partnerships with payors and funding organisations to enhance product access.
• Liaise with cross‑functional brand and access teams to align priorities and affordability initiatives.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years experience with insurance companies, TPAs or similar roles in a multinational pharmaceutical environment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in medicine, health economics or a related field.
• Strong understanding of the UAE and Gulf insurance and payor landscape.
