About the role
The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Engineer will lead the development, review and maintenance of HSE manuals and programmes for ADNOC projects in Abu Dhabi. You will provide expert guidance to field teams, ensure compliance with regulations and promote a strong safety culture across all operations.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and update HSE standards, procedures and guidelines for in‑house use and for contractors.
- Plan and conduct safety, health and environmental impact assessments for new projects.
- Maintain current HSE documentation and ensure easy access for field staff.
- Identify high‑risk activities, perform risk assessments and recommend control measures.
- Coordinate with project teams to embed HSE considerations into planning and execution.
- Lead incident investigations, develop emergency response plans and refine operational safety procedures.
- Perform technical evaluations of equipment and audit contractors for HSE compliance.
Required profile
- Minimum 8 years of experience in HSE engineering, preferably in oil & gas or related industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health, safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Proven ability to produce technical reports, manuals and risk assessment documents.
- Excellent communication skills to train and advise multidisciplinary teams.
