Health Safety Environment Officer

About the role

CSCEC Middle East is seeking an experienced Health Safety Environment (HSE) Officer to join its HSE team on a large‑scale construction project in Dubai. You will lead efforts to maintain a safe and healthy workplace for all staff, visitors, and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and facilitation for a safe work environment, ensuring HSE remains a top priority.
• Implement, review, and continuously improve health and safety procedures and policies.
• Train and familiarise staff with HSE documentation, procedures, and best practices.
• Conduct regular internal audits to verify compliance with HSE standards.
• Liaise with clients to brief them on internal HSE procedures.
• Review contractor‑submitted OH&S manuals and statements, providing feedback.
• Supervise the core HSE team, assigning inspection schedules and training requirements.
• Maintain an incident and accident register and issue non‑conformance notices as needed.

Required profile

• Degree in Health and Safety or Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience on high‑rise construction projects.
• NEBOSH qualification.
